It had been a long time coming, but Rich The Kid finally released his highly anticipated debut album on Friday called The World Is Yours. The 14-song project features guest appearances from the Kendrick Lamar, Future, Lil Wayne, Offset, Quavo, Rae Sremmurd, and more. In the hours following its release, Rich The Kid couldn't contain his emotions and was brought to tears by the fans reception to the body of work.
“Appreciate all the love on the album,” Rich says while he sheds a couple tears in a clip that surfaced Friday night. It’s unclear if he was genuinely crying or if this was a troll job to make headlines to promote his new album, but my gut feeling is that it’s the latter. He looks to be acting and the video cuts out hella quick, a sign that there’s probably more to what meets the eye.
This clip comes just two days after he pulled another promo stunt and crashed a USC classroom, something he says wasn't staged and was just for fun. “That was not staged, it was real.” he told TMZ yesterday.
Check out the clip of RTK crying (below) and let us know what you think. You think it's genuine or staged?
