Despite teasing fans with plenty of material, The Weeknd has yet to announce an official release date for his sophomore album (yes, we're calling Trilogy his debut for lack of a better categorization), but according to Best Buy and Amazon, the album is listed as an August 27th release.
This would mean the album would drop a week or so before Abel heads out on his "The Fall" tour, which would make sense, so we are leaning toward this being the official date. This will also put him in direct competition with Big Sean, who will also drop his sophomore effort on the 27th.
Abel has yet to confirmthe date, but did hint at a summer release on twitter recently. Read the tweet and watch a live snippet of a new track below.
