Brockhampton's one of the hottest groups out right now with a large buzz surrounding them. 2017 found the collective releasing three projects throughout the year and keeping that buzz high. They've been doing everything independently as well. The three instalments to the Saturation series were all done within their own studio. However, it looks like their looking to take things to another level.
Brockhampton took to Twitter today to reveal that they've just signed a deal with RCA. The tweet simply showed the RCA logo in black in front of a beige background with "BROCKHAMPTON" scribbled underneath. In fine print at the bottom of the picture, it reads, "As of March 30th 2018, Brockhampton will be artists under a recording contract for RCA Records."
While signing to the big leagues sometimes indicates a shift in sound, Kevin Abstract put that to rest and insisted the group still has full creative control over their music.
"i wanted to be very clear about this and let y’all know that nothin changes." He wrote on his Instagram page, "videos still diy, music still made in our house, and we’re still gonna make the best possible product for y’all."
Either way, it's definitely looking like it's going to be a major year for Brockhampton. The group is gearing up to release their album Puppy this summer and will also be embarking on their "Stereo Spirit" tour.
