Madison Square Garden has released a statement on the matter.

R. Kelly's brother and father have come forward to call their own family member some of the worst names in the book after the numerous sexual misconduct allegations pinned against the singer's name. From allegedly running a sex cult, hooking up with minors, abusing his ex-wife, spreading diseases and much more, the man is still getting booked to do performances.

The 51-year-old is set to perform at the Hulu Theatre at New York City’s Madison Square Garden next month and due to some negative reactions, the venue had to release a statement on the reason for the performance. “MSG has a long history of not censoring performers. We believe artists have the right to rent our venues to put on their own event, and that the public then has the choice whether or not to support that event," a representative stated

A representative from Hulu declined to comment on the matter, Page Six reports, despite the fact that the streaming service is helming a documentary on Kelly's abuse.

Kelly recently released a 19-minute song titled "I Admit" addressing some of the widespread allegations. "I admit I fuck with all the ladies, that's both older and young ladies / But tell me how they call it pedophile because that shit is crazy / You may have your opinions, entitled to your opinions /But really am I supposed to go to jail or lose my career because of your opinion."
