Rest in power, Mac Miller.

The sudden passing of Mac Miller rocked the industry like no other when he was pronounced dead on Friday at the young age of 26. Post Malone, J. Cole, G-Eazy, Drake, Elton John, and endless more acts have paid tribute to the Mac by adding in a special set as they tour the world, or just taking to social to share a moment that Mac showed his true genuine colours as a friend and collaborator.

John Mayer, who worked with Mac on his Swimming track "Small Worlds" shared a heartfelt message about his friend and how this would have been his year since "he made a quantum leap in his music."

"That’s incredibly hard to do, to evolve and get better and more focused while your career is already underway. You don’t get there without a lot of work, and Mac had put the work in," he wrote. "[...]Mac put in the work. He made his best album and formed the band that was weeks away from becoming a breakout live sensation. Believe me when I say that. I send my love and support to everyone who knew him better, because what relative little I did, I just adored."
