Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato have a message for the ladies.

The 2018 Billboard Music Awards had many memorable moments, but none with as much vocal strength as the Christina Aguilera and Demi Lovato duet. Both ladies are famous for their ability to shake the world with their powerful vocals, and that is exactly what the two divas did on Sunday (May 20).

"Little girls, listen closely/ 'Cause no one told me/ But you deserve to know/ That in this world, you are not beholden/ You do not owe them/ Your body and your soul," began Aguilera, immediately letting the crowd know that this song is focused on promoting a powerful message. Lovato followed up with her own words of encouragement.  "Show some skin, make him want you/ 'Cause God forbid you/ Know your own way home/ Ask yourself why it matters/ Who it flatters/ You're more than flesh and bones," she sang. With both the #MeToo and #TimesUp movements functioning at full power, there is little doubt that this song will resonate with the feminist campaign centered around exposing malicious and despicable men who have taken advantage of women.

The two ladies were dressed in trench coats and surrounded by militaristic dancers while they delivered their message, hammering home the image that this means war. The powerful performance is both riveting and unsettling. The idea that women need to declare war on something that is so obviously immoral only shows how deep the issue really is. Entitled "Fall In Line," the commanding single will be featured on Aguilera's upcoming album Liberation. Check out the performance below.
