Pixar is on a mission to turn even the most resolute adult back into a kid. The famous animation company that brought The Incredibles back to theaters after 14 years will also bring Toy Story back into the spotlight next year. It will be nine years since Toy Story 3, and over 20 years since the first film debuted, when Toy Story 4 arrives.
CineEurope is one of the most legendary film expos on the planet, and Disney decided to show new footage from Toy Story 4 at the event in Barcelona this week. The Hollywood Reporter verifies that Buzz Lightyear, Woody, and their pals will be returning for the fourth film, which is being directed by Josh Cooley. Toy Story 4 is slated to be released on June 21, 2019. Although the fourth film in the Toy Story franchise is heavily anticipated, Disney didn't stop there when it came to previewing films that audiences are craving for. Disney also showed fans a glimpse at next years Avengers 4 and Captain Marvel, previewed footage from Tim Burton's upcoming Dumbo live-action film, gave a behind-the-scenes look at the Aladdin and Lion King live-action remakes, and also delivered an extensive look at Ralph Breaks the Internet. It looks like your inner-child will be enjoying the next few years of films.
