Kanye West caused a scene during his appearance on Saturday Night Live last week. His pro-Trump rant was so sensational and surprising that it made headlines on national news. Some people have come out to express their opinions about the artist's monologue since then. Pete Davidson, a member of the television show's regular cast, chimed in during their latest episode.
Davidson took the opportunity to speak on Yeezy's political statements during the "Weekend Update" sketch. He described the whole ordeal from an unfavorable perspective.
"What Kanye said after we went off the air last week was one of the worst, most awkward things I've seen here, and I've seen Chevy Chase speak to an intern. Do you know how wrong about politics you have to be for me to notice?"
The actor also referred to the claims that Kanye was off his medication at the time. He joked about how the drugs that are used for mental health issues could be embraced in order to avoid such a situation. The advice was offered from his personal experience.
"There's no shame in the medicine game. I'm on 'em, it's great. Being mentally ill is not an excuse to act like a jackass."
