Get your lighters ready New Jersey because Snoop Dogg is coming to your state and the air needs to be smokey enough for him to breathe normally. One of the world's biggest stoners and a member of rap royalty, Snoop has been announced as a headliner for Jersey City's fifth annual July 4 celebration. With the festival growing larger on a yearly basis, the organizers decided to get a big star to perform a free show for the city and they believe Snoop is the guy for them.
A legend in the game, the D-O Double-G has been at it for nearly three decades, dropping off countless classics. His presence allows concertgoers of all ages to enjoy the festivities as he appeals to both young and old crowds. The Independence Day event will take place by the Hudson River at Exchange Place and it will last the entire day. With food, beer gardens, music, entertainment and, of course, fireworks, Snoop's performance will be one of the must-see events going on.
Last year, over 100K people showed up to the show when Kool & The Gang performed and the organizers are expecting upwards of 200K guests this year with Snoop's announcement. If you'll be in New Jersey for the holidays, this will be the place to be. Check out further details courtesy of NJ.com.
