According to the Chicago-Tribune's new interview with Chance, he'll be dropping new music this week.

It's been over two years since Chance The Rapper blessed us with his critically acclaimed Coloring Book. Since then, he's toured a whole lot but we haven't gotten a whole lot of solo music from him. Fans have been eagerly awaiting new music from the rapper for a minute and it seems like it might be just around the corner.

In a new interview with Chicago-Tribune, Chance The Rapper revealed that his follow up to Coloring Book is dropping this week. There's numerous mentions throughout the profile. The rapper's been busy helping with a headlining concert this Saturday for the 50th anniversary of the Special Olympics and it seems like the project's release was meant to arrive just in time for it, as Hip-Hop-N-More pointed out.

The musical drought may be ending, though. “I got that feeling when people do something that has a new feel to it,” he says of his new album. “I’m excited for everybody to get that. It’s going to come out just in time for the Special Olympics.”

In addition, the author of the article, Greg Kot, mentioned in the first paragraph that the rapper will be releasing the project this week.

It’ll be a busy week for Chance the Rapper. He’s finishing up the follow-up album to his Grammy-winning 2016 release “Coloring Book,” which he says will be out in a few days. He’s preparing to begin work on another album with Kanye West this month in Chicago.

Clearly, the wait for new music from Chance The Rapper was well worth it. With a new album reportedly dropping this week and a confirmation that a Chance The Rapper album produced by Kanye is in the works, it looks like we're going to be set with new music from the Chicago native this year.
