It's hard not to be a fan of Rick and Morty. Adult Swim's universe jumping cartoon series has become a cultural phenomenon, unseating Family Guy, South Park, and The Simpsons as the most beloved adult cartoon amongst millennials. It appears that the older generations can't get enough of Rick and Morty either, and Back to the Future star Christopher Lloyd has revealed that he wants to join the cast of the show.
While speaking with the Phoenix New Times, Lloyd stated that he hasn't seen much of Rick and Morty, but he likes what he has seen. "I don't follow it closely, but I've seen a few episodes and I gotta tell you, I think it's a lot of fun. I know it's some kind of parody of Doc and Marty," he said. Rick and Morty do share many similarities with the Back to the Future stars, including their names (both Rick and Morty and Doc and Marty roll of the tongue with the same amount of syllables). When asked if he would like to join the show, Lloyd answered, "I'd like to, of course. I think it's really fun." When it is suggested that he could play Rick's father, the actor answers, "Yeah, yeah. That'd be fun."
