Andy Muschietti will bring the gruesome vision to life.

Attack On Titan is one of the most grisly animes around, and that's saying something. Anime series often feature bloody battles and sexually explicit scenes, but watching a fleshless giant eat a handful of human beings ranks very high on the "graphic" list. In the show, humankind is relegated to a walled city to protect them for giant monsters that prey on anything they can eat. Unfortunately, a massive Titan appears and destroys a portion of the wall, allowing all hell to break loose. Heroes Eren Jaeger, Mikasa Ackerman, and Armin Arlert join the military and team up to defeat the monsters.

According to The Hollywood ReporterWarner Bros has scooped up the movie rights for an adaptation, and they hired IT director Andy Muschietti to helm the project. Harry Potter producer David Heyman is also attached to the film. Muschietti's vision for IT smashed box offices, and it will be interesting to see how he brings the bloody and action-packed Attack On Titan evergy to a live action adaptation. As with most American films that borrow from other cultures, fans should expect to see some ethnicity changes. Warner Bros. is looking to build another blockbuster franchise, so it wouldn't be a surprise if several A-list actors found their way into Attack On Titan.
