Virgil Abloh has revealed that Off-White's upcoming Spring/Summer 2019 collection will pay tribute to famous American graffiti artist, Dondi White. According to Vogue, the New York artist was one of the founding fathers of graffiti art in the 1970s and 1980s before his death in 1998.
In the instagram post, Abloh writes, "ss19 men’s @off____whiterunway show in tribute to DONDI WHITE highlighting his legacy in art and donating proceeds on his behalf to www.glwd.org @godslovenyc ~ runway show in -6 days."
Off-White Spring/Summer 2019 collection will be presented in Paris on June 20th as part of Paris Fashion Week. As mentioned in the caption of Abloh's IG post, proceeds will be going to God' God’s Love We Deliver, which is a New York City charity that delivers nutritious meals to individuals in the five boroughs who are suffering from severe ailments.
