Lando Calrissian was Glover's first toy, now he IS the toy.

Lando Calrissian is a very special role for Donald Glover, namely because the character, who originally appeared in 1980's The Empire Strikes Back, was the first action figure he ever owned. In a new interview on Ellen, Glover explained that his part in the upcoming Star Wars film SOLO has inspired a "full-circle" moment for him: he's given his son a Lando action figure -- modeled after himself.

"They sent them to us. It's super weird for me," he said of giving the miniature version of himself to one of his two sons. "His mom is always being like 'who's that?' and he just playing like, 'oh this is daddy... daddy is riding a horse made of play-dough."

Of course, this isn't exactly the experience Glover had playing with his own Lando toy as a kid, but it's surreal nonetheless. "I didn't feel like that way before, but to see him do it is kinda like a full circle of... I don't know... it's beautiful, it's weird but beautiful," he said.

Solo: A Star Wars Story will be given a nation-wide release on May 25th. It's been reported that Glover is already on board to reprise his character in an upcoming film centering around Lando Calrissian.
