The much-maligned former Heisman winner is taking his talents to Canada. The Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL have held his rights since he became available. Senior ESPN analyst Albert Breer reports that Johnny Manziel was spotted at the Canadian Border near Buffalo where he inquired about obtaining his work permit. The quarterback will report to the team effective immediately. A press conference taking place this afternoon will put see acquiesce in person, after months of toying with the idea.

Johhny also broke the news on social media. His tweet concisely drew upon his struggle to get his professional career off the ground. Manziel expressed gratitude for the opportunity to extend his career in Canada, describing as the best option had on the table. Manziel is "eager for what the future holds," it can be no worse than the hole he'd dug himself before. Coming out of the 2014 Draft a first-round pick, Manziel threw as many touchdowns as he did interceptions (7) before landing himself in the proverbial doghouse. Since then he's a difficult time seeking employment in the NFL. His difficulty adjusting to pro schematics was made no easier by his own admission of Bipolar Personality Disorder, and a drinking problem he recently took measures to curb. All the best, Johnny Football.
