There is nothing quite like the anticipation of a new Young Thug album, a fact that Jeffrey knows very well and used to his advantage when promoting his "compilation album" Slime Language from earlier this month, only revealing that it was in fact a group affair featuring the whole YSL crew a few days before its release.
Anyone who was disappointed that it wasn't a full-on Thugger project, in line with the ambitious No, My Name Is Jeffery and Beautiful Thugger Girls can now rest easy. Young Thug took to Twitter today to announce that in two days he will be releasing a new album called ON THE RUN. At first he tweeted simple "ON THE RUN":

It's been a year and change since Thug's last solo project came out and it's difficult to know what to expect. From Barter 6 to Jeffery and Thugger Girls, SEX dialled up the experimentation each time, dabbling in country, reggae, old school crooning and more. But on Super Slimey and Slime Language he brought it all back to a more conventional trap style. Which direction will he take on ON THE RUN? We'll find out in two days.
