Almost 2 months since Nicki Minaj and Cardi B had their infamous Fashion Week feud at the Harper's Bazaar Icons party, Nicki has announced that she will be gracing the cover of the magazine's Music Icon issue.
In the pictures posted to her Instagram, the Queen artist can be seen posing boldly for a number of photographs. The cover of the magazine itself appears to be a shot of Nicki gazing at the camera adorned in a pink and red fur. The other photographs from the shoot depict musician in chic, structured ensembles and dazzling accessories, including a bejeweled helmet.
The photographs come after the launch of Nicki's merch which some have determined is throwing shade at Cardi B. The first piece, a pink backpack, is emblazoned with the popularised phrase, "Nicki stopped my bag," alluding to accusations from Cardi and a number of other artists that Minaj robbed them of career opportunities. The merchandise has been met with mixed reviews; some fans are clamoring to purchase the items while others criticized the move. One Twitter user wrote, "Nicki Minaj is now bragging about how she blocked artists from getting money. She is dropping merch that is called #NickiStoppedMyBag. The gag is that no one will buy it. Her fans didn't buy her merch that was combined with her tour tickets & they also didn't buy her album."
