Atlanta's A3C Festival is returning for its 14th year this October, and is promising some cool activities, and even better performances.
The A3C Festival is a five day long affair that features workshops, panels, mixers, and more. That's not to mention the musical line up. Headlining the festival this year are the Wu-Tang Clan, Lil Wayne, and The Diplomats, though the festival will also feature appearances from artists such as, Young M.A, J.I.D, Curren$y, PRhyme, and many more.
Complex spoke with Mike Walbert, the festival director, who said, "We’re really excited about producing a dope hip-hop festival in downtown Atlanta. It’s important to have cultural events in the city," adding, "There’s something special about hosting this festival in the capital of hip-hop culture with the state capital building and skyscrapers in the background."
The festival this year will also play host to a special treat for fans of the Wu-Tang Clan's debut album, Enter The Wu-Tang: 36 Chambers, as the album celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. A3C is promising more than a concert, and will debut something known as the "Wu-Tang Experience." The details as to what that will entail are currently being kept under wraps, but Walbert promises that it will be worth the wait.
"36 Chambers is one of my earliest memories listening to hip-hop, and one of my favorite albums of all time," said Walbert. "We’re working with a lot of Atlanta companies and organizations to honor Wu-Tang Clan and produce an experience unlike anything seen before."
