The most polarizing rapper in the game right now is Tekashi 6ix9ine. You either can't stand him or you absolutely love him. Public opinion is incredibly mixed about the man with his controversial past getting in the way of many attempting to enjoy his music. While nobody is ever really a shoe-in to make the XXL Freshman List, this is around the time of year that rappers begin their campaigns to be included. If ever there was a rapper that deserved a spot on the list due to their notoriety, 6ix9ine is the guy.

6ix9ine's pitch video for the list is the most viewed of the potential 2018 class racking in an impressive 672K views at the time of publication. Lil Skies is the closest behind him at 472K views with Famous Dex, NBA YoungBoy and YBN Nahmir not too far behind. While the rainbow-haired rapper is leading in views, he claims that his pitch video was actually removed from YouTube "for some apparent reason." This has led him to rightfully question XXL's decision to remove the clip, asking himself if the list is rigged. Tekashi says that, in addition to his five consecutive charting songs and platinum plaques, he should absolutely be considered for the list.

50 Cent makes a quick cameo near the end of the video, claiming "they got it, they got it," after 6ix9ine asked his fans to go vote for him. Fiddy and 6ix9ine's developing friendship is intriguing since both were heavily critiqued at the beginning of their careers. Because of his infamy, do you think Tekashi 6ix9ine has a guaranteed spot on the Freshman List? Who are your picks for XXL's prestigious title in 2018?
