When she's not getting into beefs with celebrities like Cardi B and Kanye West, Azealia Banks has been busy working on the follow up to her 2012 mixtape, Fantasea, with Fantasea II: The Second Wave.
Azealia already dropped her first single off the mixtape, "Anna Wintour," back in April, but Azealia seems to planning on taking her time with the promotion for the tape. Today on Instagram, Azealia revealed the title, cover art, and release date for her next single, "Treasure Island," and even posted a short preview of the song.
The song itself aside, the cover instantly seems to stand out. Azealia is shown lying on her back on a couch, legs in the air. Her outfit (if you could really call it that) appears to be nothing but printed belts and a pair of translucent stripper boots. A relaxing blue background and a vintage look give this cover a tropical look, almost as though it was the water sign version of Nicki Minaj's explicit Queen cover.
Whether the comparison was intention is hard to say, but fans will have to wait a little while longer before they actually get the hear the entire song. The caption of the posts say that the single will be dropping on July 13th, almost a month from now. Thankfully, Azealia provided a sneak preview for her fans to enjoy. The song seems to follow her traditional dance-friendly formula, switching between a rapid rap flow and a slower singing portion.
