Former Missouri Tigers forward Michael Porter Jr. was forced to cancel his second Pro Day in Chicago on Friday due to a strained hip, according to ESPN. Citing sources, ESPN reports that Porter couldn't even get out of bed because of muscle spasms.

Although Porter Jr. will not be able to showcase his talent on Friday, it is believed that the Pro Day will be rescheduled depending on how he responds to treatment over the next few days. However, with the 2018 NBA Draft rapidly approaching on June 21, there's no guarantee that teams will get another look at the 6'11 prospect before next Thursday. According to ESPN, select teams will still send representatives to Chicago to meet with Porter on Friday.

Porter, who will turn 20 on June 29, missed almost his entire freshman season at Mizzou because of a back injury that required him to have microdiscectomy surgery on his L3 and L4 spinal disks. He was able to return in March but appeared in just two games for the Tigers before they were eliminated Florida State in the first round of the NCAA Tournament.

"There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with him right now," one NBA executive told ESPN.com. "But a conservative doctor could still [be concerned about] what might happen down the road."

Despite his lack of playing time, Porter is expected to be one of the first seven players selected in the draft, with some reports suggesting the Sacramento Kings are considering him with the #2 overall pick.
