We may still be waiting for I Can't Feel My Face to arrive but one long-delayed Lil Wayne album is enough to keep us content for right now. After confirming that he had reached a settlement in his highly-publicized lawsuit against Birdman and Cash Money, it looks like we could finally be getting new music soon. With the recording artist now free from the deal that seemingly held back his releases for years, Wayne is looking to make up for lost time, working on potential release dates for Tha Carter V. While the assumption remains that Weezy is free to drop it at any time he pleases, his strategical mind will lead him to release it when the time is right. According to Juelz Santana, that should be soon.
Who knows what kind of conversations Juelz and Wayne have been having about the project but from the looks of things, the Dipset member has some knowledge about the date we'll receive the fifth installment in Wayne's successful Carter series. Reposting an image of the billboards that have since been confirmed to be fake, Santana wrote "Soon Come" as his caption, leading fans to believe the album could drop before the end of the summer. That would be an amazing gift for Weezy's supporters who have been waiting for C5 ever since a few years ago. Although the legitimacy of Juelz's knowledge is a little questionable after his use of the illegitimate billboard image, he has close ties to the NOLA artist and could know something we don't.
The post has us pumped. Although it could mean nothing in the grand scheme of things, it definitely has brought attention back on the album that has eluded us for quite some time.
