LeBron James was in the building at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas, Nevada yesterday afternoon for the Summer League quarterfinal game between his Los Angeles Lakers and the Detroit Pistons. The Lakers won to advance to the Summer League semifinals, but most of the conversation on social media during and after the game was centered around LeBron's fit, including his Lakers-inspired Nike Air Zoom Generations.
The 4x NBA MVP paired up the purple suede kicks with the Lakers' Just Don x Mitchell & Ness shorts, which retail for $500. It wasn't the first time LeBron broke out the purple suede Nike AZG - he also wore them prior to Game 3 of the NBA Finals - but now that he's officially on the Lakers sneakerheads can expect to see many more purple and gold LeBrons in the near future.
As of now, it's unclear if Nike has plans to release the special edition shoes. Take a closer look at the Lakers-inspired AZGs in the posts embedded below.
