We already know that Drake has been acknowledged as a lyricist and composer to "Yikes," a slightly awkward revelation given the uncertain nature of their relationship. It's strange, considering the hook that Drake allegedly wrote bears close resemblance to The Life Of Pablo's "Wolves," though perhaps inspiration strikes in mysterious ways. Either way, it's no secret that a Kanye West project is a family affair, and for those curious in the inner workings, full credits for both Ye and Kids See Ghosts have been unveiled.
In the process, several interesting contributors have been credited accordingly. Grime artists Skepta and Wiley are named as lyricists and composers on "I Thought About Killing You." PARTYNEXTDOOR earns the same credits on the sentimental "Wouldn't Leave." Caroline Shaw lands a credit on "No Mistakes," while Consequence, CyHi The Prynce, and Malik Yusef earn multiple (yet unspecified) writing credits throughout the project.
For those lamenting Justin Vernon, aka Bon Iver's seeming departure from Kanye's inner circle, fear not. It would appear the indie-darling woodsman poet never strayed far; he ultimately contributed to Kids See Ghosts opener "Feel The Love," as well as the Mos Def assisted title track. Tame Impala singer Kevin Parker held it down on "Violent Crimes," proving that hip-hop artists can occasionally look to the indie scene for added inspiration.
