Ball and Kuzma reportedly agreed to "tone down the joking insults on social media."

Los Angeles Lakers players Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma traded jabs on social media throughout their rookie season, roasting each other for their outfits, sneakers, haircuts, and everything in between. The playful back-and-forth reached a peak earlier this week when Lonzo released a diss track titled "Kylie Kuzma," in which he ripped his teammate for two minutes, including a comment about how Kuz doesn't know his biological father.

Although the two are good friends, the Lakers have reportedly become concerned about the increasingly personal nature of the constant ribbing. According to ESPN's Ramona Shelburne and Ohm Youngmisuk, the Lakers recently spoke with both players "about toning down their social media roasting of each other" because they "had grown concerned about the increasingly personal nature of some of the recent roasting."

Per ESPN:

"Sources said the team spoke to both players and that there are no lingering issues, and that both players agreed to tone down the joking insults on social media. After dealing with a social media fiasco involving a D'Angelo Russell-Nick Young video in 2016, the Lakers wanted to make sure to nip things in the bud."

Both Ball and Kuzma received All-Rookie honors this season, with Kuzma being named to the All-Rookie First Team after averaging 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game. Ball was named All-Rookie Second Team with averages of 10.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.9 rebounds and 1.7 steals. The Lakers finished the season with a 35-47 record, and will be heavily invested in the LeBron James sweepstakes this Summer.
