It seems like Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson find new ways to affirm their love for each other on the daily. From the regular "couple stuff" like getting engaged or matching tattoos to more particular actions, like perfume dedications or album interludes. The most recent display makes the others seem mundane in comparison. Pete Davidson gave his fiance "the most precious thing" he owns: his late father's FDNY pendant. The 9/11 hero was wearing the chain when he passed away.
As usual, some fans expressed concern over the intensity of their displays. Someone even remarked that the gift was "disrespectful" considering the magnitude of meaning the necklace holds. Davidson defended his choice with positivity:
“For ur information that’s not just some girl, that’s my fiancé. She’s the greatest person I know. I gave it to her because she has my heart and that is the most precious thing I own. My dad would be so happy and love her so much.”
This gift comes after Ariana's personal tribute to her fiance's father. She already has his badge number tattooed to her body. Now she has a necklace to match. The couple isn't slowing down with their PDA and will surely keep fans busy with their romanticism while they wait for Ariana's Sweetener album to drop.
