Solo: A Star Wars Story seems to be the talk of the town since it's official release. Even before it hit theatres, the movie was one of the most anticipated flicks and we can't deny that Donald Glover had a lot to do with the hype. Since it's been out and people have had their chance to see the film and make their own assumptions, the writer behind the movie has spilled some tea on one of the most lovable characters, Lando, played by Donald.
Jonathan Kasdan recently chatted with Huffington Post and revealed that Lando is pansexual admitting "it's time" to be open about his sexual preference.
“There’s a fluidity to Donald and Billy Dee’s [portrayal of Lando’s] sexuality,” Jonathan said. “I mean, I would have loved to have gotten a more explicitly LGBT character into this movie. I think it’s time, certainly, for that, and I love the fluidity ― sort of the spectrum of sexuality that Donald appeals to and that droids are a part of.”
He added: “He doesn’t make any hard and fast rules. I think it’s fun. I don’t know where it will go.” When referencing L3 calling out Lando for flirting with Han, Jonathan said: “That is [his] personality. Maybe it means something, maybe it doesn’t.”
