In recent times, there's been a lot of hip hop artists that have been tapped to help with movie scores and soundtracks. The most notable case is Kendrick Lamar and Top Dawg Entertainment's curated Black Panther: The Album. Future was also recruited to produce the soundtrack for the "Super Fly" remake. Another person that attempted to get his foot into scoring is El-P. The producer/rapper shared a snippet of his "Blade Runner 2049" music trailer demo that was ultimately rejected. Now, he has shared it in its entirety,
El-P took to Twitter to share the entire version of his demo for "Blade Runer 2049." He was he initially created for the movie when he was initially called upon for it. The version he shared is completely unmixed but it still sounds incredible and would've been a great fit for the film. He explained that the percussion he used derived from the same type they used in the original.
Despite the rejection, he did reveal that he'll be announcing another film score that he'll be doing this year. It's unsure what movie exactly but it'll definitely be cool to hear El's production on it.
Aside from movie, Run The Jewels are currently on tour with Lorde for the North American dates of her "Melodrama" tour. The tour kicked off at the top of March and is slated to conclude on April 15th in Nashville. Peep the remaining dates here.
