Other than possibly Pikachu, Goku is the most famous anime character of all time. The Saiyan has been battling threats to Earth in several Dragon Ball series since the 1980's. Goku and the Z Fighters are slated to battle Broly in a new film entitled Dragon Ball Super: Broly in December, and Toei Animation has been promoting the film all Summer. Broly will finally enter the Dragon Ball canon in the new film, which will also slightly alter the origins of Goku and others.
In celebration of the film's release next month, Super Saiyan Blue Goku will be making an appearance at this year's Macys Thanksgiving Day Parade. The powerful hero will be reimagined as a massive balloon, and will fly alongside dozens of other iconic entertainment characters. The parade will take place on Thursday, November 22, 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM ET. It will be Macy's 92nd annual celebration of the food-filled holiday. According to CBR, the SS Blue Goku balloon will be 70 feet long, 56 feet tall, and 36 feet wide. That makes it only six feet shorter than the Thanksgiving Day Parade's longest balloon, the Red Power Ranger.
Dragon Ball Super: Broly touches down in theaters in Japan in December, and heads over to the US on January 16, 2019.
