Big K.R.I.T makes sure to keep that same "Energy."

The game can agree on one thing: it's better off when Big K.R.I.T. is dropping music at a frequent pace. Of course, one can be understanding, given the ample harvest he cultivated on last year's 4Eva Is A Mighty Long Time. Yet gracious host that he is, K.R.I.T made sure to provide his fans with something for the year-end roundup. Across the past few weeks, the rapper has been dropping off several EPs, including Thrice X and Double Down. Today comes Trifectathe trilogy's closing chapter, bringing our total of new K.R.I.T. songs up to eight; not quite an album, but close enough.

While all three songs Trfiecta songs are enjoyable, there's something refined about closing selection "Energy." The beat blends lush strings, a recurring vocal loop, pianos, and up-tempo 808 percussion. The backdrop is more than enough for K.R.I.T. to wax poetic, updating fans on his current headspace and future endeavors. "In the middle of the road or runnin' the globe, I'm fightin' for doors to give everything back what they owe," raps K.R.I.T, drawing power from simplicity. Quotable Lyrics

No time to slow down when we out on the chase
Don't be pumping your brakes
When you come over, nothing, I'm doing what it takes
Dodging these gunshots man, still gotta stay focused
Ain't no sleep, stay woken, gotta keep your eyes open
