Our FIRE EMOJI playlist this week is topped (how could it not be?) by Nicki Minaj's "Barbie Dreams" off her new album Queen. Calling out almost every relevant male rapper in the game and bringing them down a sexual peg, "Barbie Dreams" is to Nicki as "Control" was to Kendrick back in the day. It's already gotten responses from 50 Cent, Meek Mill (maybe) and Young Thug.
Someone who Nicki didn't call out, Travis Scott, also released an album this past week. Astroworld has been anticipated and teased for ages (with giant gold Travis Scott heads) and the album doesn't disappoint. Some of his songs on the playlist include"WHO? WHAT!," "STOP TRYING TO BE GOD" and the drake feature "SICKO MODE."
Travis and Nicki are no surprise, but there's another new duo who are making a claim for permanent FIRE EMOJI playlist residency: Reese LAFLARE and Young Thug. Thugger lends his talent to Reese's "Nosebleeds" and the two team up on Trippie Redd's "Forever Ever" off his new album Life's A Trip.
