Childish Gambino's headlining set at London's Lovebox festival Saturday night was filled with hits, including the rapper's politically-charged Hot 100-topping single "This Is America," which closed his set. In addition, he performed a number of tracks from his albums Because The Internet and "Awaken My Love!", as well as taking a moment to speak to the crowd about the state of America and the world at large, referencing the London protest of Trump's visit which featured a giant balloon made to look like Trump as an infant.
"Shit is unfair sometimes," he said. "I used to be like 'London can't be that bad, they don't got guns like that.' Then y'all came out with the acid, I was like 'oh fuck!' That shit is terrifying. But everybody feels the same way -- I was very proud to see that big balloon. Shit is unfair. The scary part is, you gotta fight for that shit... That's kinda what this song is about is... we have to stick together, because we're stronger together. I want you guys to know that and that I love you."
