Skepta's latest Nike collab draws on inspiration from his single "That's Not Me."

Skepta and Nike have a third sneaker collaboration in the works, this time utilizing the Nike Air Max Deluxe silhouette. Skepta first teamed with Nike for an Air Max 97 UL back in 2017 and followed that up with an Air Max 97/BW hybrid sneaker earlier this year.

The latest addition to the Skepta x Nike footwear line is built on a black neoprene base complete with “NEVER SLEEP ON TOUR” text on the instep and “12:05 PM JUNE 08 2014” text near the toe, which references the time and date Skepta released his single "That's Not Me."

Inspired by that track, the shoe takes on a static-like graphic print throughout the upper. The print also embodies Skepta’s insomniac-like mind when he’s on tour and is reminiscent of the DIY approach of grime’s golden era in the 90s. Creating his own graphic print is another way Skepta shows his love for the original Air Max Deluxe and nods to the treatments seen on the original back in 1999.

According to reports, the special edition Air Max Deluxe will release at select Nike retailers this Saturday, September 8 for the retail price of $190.
