Young shares first look at his NBA 2K19 rating.

One of the most intriguing NBA rookies heading into the 2018-19 season is former Oklahoma Sooners sharpshooter Trae Young, who was selected fifth overall by the Dallas Mavericks but immediately traded to the Atlanta Hawks, along with a future first round pick, in exchange for Luka Doncic.

During his freshman season with the Sooners, Young became the first player in Division I history to lead the nation in both points (27.4) and assists (8.7) per game. That said, the 6'2 point guard still has a lot to prove at the next level - including showing the folks at 2K Sports that he's deserving of a better player rating.

Young recently shared the first image of himself in an Atlanta Hawks uniform in NBA 2K19, along with his 77 overall rating. Thus far, 2K has revealed only a handful of rookie ratings, including the #1 overall pick DeAndre Ayton and the guard who Young was traded for, Luka Doncic, both of whom are a 79 overall. Sacramento Kings forward Marvin Bagley III has also been revealed as a 78.

Check out the first screenshot of Young in NBA 2K19, as well as his reaction to his 77 rating, in the tweet embedded below.

There are two editions of 2K19 hitting retailers in September - The Standard Edition with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo on the cover dropping September 11, and a $99.99 20th Anniversary Edition with LeBron James on the front. Buying the LeBron edition will give you early access to the game on September 7th.
