Actress Gal Gadot arrives at the Premiere Of Warner Bros. Pictures' 'Wonder Woman' at the Pantages Theatre on May 25, 2017 in Hollywood, California.
Wonder Woman's next film is set in the 80's.

Gal Gadot turned the world upside down when she became the DC movie universe's most successful character. Wonder Woman is a bright light in the DCEU's catalog. While films like Batman V Superman and Man of Steel were divisive, Suicide Squad and Justice League had very little supporters. Wonder Woman , on the other hand, was universally loved by critics and fans alike. Gal Gadot and director Patty Jenkins are teaming back up for the sequel, which is called Wonder Woman 1984.

The sequel will take place during the Cold War, and the first official photos from the film have arrived online. In the first photo, Chris Pine's Steve Trevor can be seen walking around in caution, or confusion. At the end of the first Wonder Woman film, Trevor was killed off. It will be interesting to see how DC plans to bring him back. In the second set photo, Wonder Woman is seen looking at several television screens, an invention that wasn't around during the time period of the first film.

Wonder Woman 1984 is set to hit theaters on November 1, 2019. Kristen Wiig will join the cast as the wicked Cheetah, who has been an arch nemesis to Wonder Woman in the comic book for decades.
