Pretty much every week this summer has given fans some great new music to soundtrack their weekends, and it doesn't seem to be slowing anytime soon. After releasing the Hot 100-topping "This Is America" earlier this year, Childish Gambino returned this week with a pair of new songs, each written specifically to be played in warm weather. "Feels Like Summer," which appears on this week's FIRE EMOJI playlist, is the second of two "summer"-titled tracks, and picks up where he left off on the Kauai EP, tapping into a Pharrell-influenced pop-soul that's lighter on its feet than the Funkadelic noodling of "Awaken, My Love!". Also included on the playlist is the new single from Mac Miller, "Self Care" which comes off his newly announced Swimming album due out in August. It seamlessly combines the various styles he's been experimenting with over his last few projects, confidently overlapping singing and rapping fluidly. Wiz Khalifa's Bone Thugs collaboration from his long-awaited Rolling Papers 2 project is also here, as is new music from Denzel Curry, Anderson .Paak and more.
