Ariana Grande is still dealing with the tragic Manchester bombing.

On May 22, 2017 Ariane Grande was performing at a Manchester arena when a suicide bomber set off an explosive that killed  23 people and injured over 500 others. Ariane paused her tour and held a benefit concert that raised $12 million for the victims and their families. To this day it's a very hard topic for Ariane to discuss, where she admits that she still waits for peace, but pain still comes with the thought of it.

“There are so many people who have suffered such loss and pain,” Ariana says in her Time feature. “The processing part is going to take forever.” She explains how she doesn't want to give the attack much power since it's something so negative and "the absolute worst of humanity."

"That’s why I did my best to react the way I did. The last thing I would ever want is for my fans to see something like that happen and think it won,” she explains. “Music is supposed to be the safest thing in the world… I think that’s why it’s still so heavy on my heart every single day. I wish there was more that I could fix. You think with time it’ll become easier to talk about. Or you’ll make peace with it. But every day I wait for that peace to come and it’s still very painful.”
