Now that's a dream come true.

Imagine, as a Harry Potter fan, being cast in The Crimes of Grindelwald as a character that was designed especially for you. That is exactly what happened to Jessica Williams, the beautiful and talented comedian who used to be a correspondent on The Daily Show. Speaking with EW last year, Williams stated, "Those movies and books, especially the books, were so important to me. I could not have fathomed that when I was in the fourth grade reading these books, there would be a character I play that exists in this universe. It’s insane to me." She continued on to say, "I hung out with J.K. [Rowling], and she had reached out to me a couple of days after we met. She sent me these emails about this really amazing character that she had been working on." Hard work really does pay off.

Now that the film has been completed, Williams took to Instagram, alongside Rowling, to show off their new friendship. Rowling also tweeted about Williams' role as Professor Eulalie “Lally” Hicks, who teaches at Ilvermorny School of Witchcraft and Wizardry (the American wizardry school). Check out the two lovely ladies hanging out, and explaining the new character below. Black Girls Rock!
