The release of Lil Wayne's highly anticipated Tha Carter V project has had fans and critics alike labeling the Young Money boss, the greatest of all time (G.O.A.T). In a video posted to his Instagram account, Weezy depicts a brief but telling interaction with popular Amazon developed virtual assistant, Alexa.
The video opens with a frame depicting the virtual assistant sitting on the concrete in what appears to be a skate park. Wayne skates up to the concrete slab where the device is located wearing a green hoodie and orange hat. With a contemplative expression on his face, Wayne instructs, "Alexa, play the g.o.a.t." Alexa then proceeds to play Wayne's track, "Dedicate" while Wayne flashes a wide, mischevious grin at the camera.
Unsurprisingly, Tha Carter V has been met with an overwhelmingly positive reception with Pitchfork writing, "The long-delayed album captures Wayne how we want to remember him: openhearted, word-drunk, and exhilarated by the possibilities of his own voice." Complex wrote, "[Lil Wayne] sounds like he could rap forever [On Tha Carter V]. And if he’s here, rapping like this, for a while longer, the game is better for it."
