Just hours after it was announced that LiAngelo Ball would be entering the 2018 NBA Draft, he went out and dropped 72 points during a game in Lithuania. It's worth noting that this was another "Big Baller Brand Challenge" game, meaning Ball and his Prienu Vytautas teammates were going up against Guangdong's youth team instead of their professional squad, but 72 points is still 72 points.
LiAngelo also grabbed 11 rebounds, while his younger brother LaMelo chipped in 36 points and six rebounds in the 159-115 victory. During halftime of his monster game, LiAngelo spoke about declaring for the 2018 NBA Draft.
“I’m just going to be excited to play on any NBA team.” Said LiAngelo, according to Ball Is Life. “Whoever picks me up, I’m going to play my hardest for them and try to bring wins to the team.”
In nine first-division Lithuanian League games with Vytautas Prienu, Ball averaged 15.7 points per game, including 45% shooting from three, according toCharania. 247Sports ranked LiAngelo as a 3-star recruit coming out of Chino Hills high school, and he was ranked as the 226th overall player and 50th ranked shooting guard in the 2017 class.
According to Yahoo Sports, LiAngelo, 19, is expected to work out for multiple teams once he returns from Lithuania, and he will participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at IMG Academy in May in front of team executives.
