Nick Cannon was so inspired by Nike's new inspirational "Just Do It" campaign starring Colin Kapernick that he chose do something totally out of character. I'm not saying Nick Cannon doesn't have a philanthropic bone in his body, but I didn't expect his political zeal to manifest the way it did, incurring a complete write-off of a Los Angeles Nike Store's complete sock inventory. His rationale being: let's give the homeless something they can actually put to good use.

Earlier in the week, Nike unveiled Colin Kaepernick as the new face of its 30th anniversary "Just Do It" campaign after years of paying him secret endorsement checks. Unsurprisingly President Trump weighed in as well, saying Nike was effectively sending a "terrible message" by endorsing an "unpatriotic voice," the company alternately feel they are positioning themselves on the right side of history in breaking their silence.

"But I think it’s a terrible message that they’re sending and the purpose of them doing it, maybe there’s a reason for them doing it," Trump offered The Daily Caller in passing. "But I think as far as sending a message, I think it’s a terrible message and a message that shouldn’t be sent. There's no reason for it."
