There's no point fighting fate. Quavo, Offset, and Peewee Longway know personally that a trapper will always be a trapper. Whenever members of the Migos link up with Peewee, you know right away that it'll be a banger. A previous collaboration between both forces, "Trapper Girl," has a similar vibe. With Offset's solo album expected in two weeks, today is dedicated to a few other big works. Peewee Longway released a few songs prior to his State of the Art but this can easily be chosen as a favorite from the project.
"Trapper Gon Be A Trapper" sees two members of Atlanta's most prominent trio teaming up with the perpetually underrated Peewee Longway. While he hasn't stuck with everybody, Longway consistently proves why he's still in the game, hitting us with clever lyricism and flows that nobody else can emulate. He's been a staple in ATL's loaded scene and there's a reason for that. He's simply one of the best and he proves it in this collaboration. "Trapper" is the album's closer, leaving the listener on a high note as you head into repeat mode.
While Peewee's release wasn't the most high-profile from today, it's certainly worth checking out. He's got some bangers on there, including this one.
Quotable Lyrics:
Money all in the closet
We don't believe in a bank account
Sitting down watching ballplayers' contracts and we got the same amount
Big flexing ball cappin'
Big flexing ball cappin'
You'd think a n***a was a athlete
But a n***a really trappin'
