DC Comics animated films are far better than their live action movies.

The Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice film didn't sit well with many fans of DC Comics. The live-action film starring Ben Affleck and Henry Cavill attempted to retell the story of Doomsday, the infamous comic villain who kills Superman. The way Warner Bros. Studio tried to pull off the story seemed forced, but now an animated movie will mend the scars that BvS may have left behind.

The Death of Superman animated film will cover the Doomsday story in the same way that the comic book did in the 90's. Recently, the cast for the film was revealed. According to TV Insider, Jerry O'Connell is set to return as Superman for the fourth time. Rebecca Romijn, who played Mystique in the original X-Men movies, will voice  Lois Lane. Rosario Dawson will voice Wonder Woman, making her a player for both Marvel and DC franchises. Dawson is featured in almost all of the Netflix Marvel shows (such as The Defenders, Daredevil, and Luke Cage) as Claire Temple. Ladies favorite Shemar Moore will voice Cyborg. Jason O'Mara will voice Batman.

The official movie synopsis reads:

"When a hulking monster emerges from an underground resting place and begins a mindless rampage, the Justice League is quickly called in to stop the colossal force of nature. But it soon becomes apparent that only Superman can stand against the monstrosity that has been nicknamed Doomsday. Battling their way throughout America, the two fight to a standstill as they reach the heart of Metropolis. Going punch for punch, Superman finally ends the threat of Doomsday as he throws one last punch and collapses forever."

The Death of Superman will drop this summer on Blu-ray, DVD, and digital download.
