Here at HotNewHipHop we advocate people getting "Turnt Up!" Sometimes it's going to the club and wildin' out more than usual, getting amped up before a basketball game, or just going nuts in your bedroom listening to big tunes. "Turnt Up" has become a phrase synonymous with letting loose, having an insane night, or just getting messed up on whatever your vice of choice.
We've decided to take a look at artists that are out of control and need to start learning how to get "Turnt Down." Those that need to take a step back and relax. They should relax with the partying, relax with the drugs, relax with the violence, relax with the rants, and overall just need to stop getting turnt up, and focus on getting "Turnt Down."
LUPE FIASCO
At times, politically charged to a fault, Lupe can get himself worked up over major issues facing our society. This is understandable, but the problem arises when he gets as wrapped up in minor issues, and goes off on one of his signature tirades.

WALE
Unafraid to show emotion on wax, this DMV native can let those emotions get the best of him. His notable “altercations/beefs” recently don’t bode well for a heavyweight spitta, as he got into it with an NBA announcer, and fans at a mall. He even had issues with video vixen, Rosa Acosta.

AZEALIA BANKS
Doing most of her damage on Twitter, as is vogue these days, Azealia Banks just can’t sit still and often fabricates sleights from other artists, or just other people on Twitter. She beefed with Jim Jones over using the term “Vamp,” and went off on celebrity blogger Perez Hilton. Not being able to contain herself she eventually deleted Twitter.
Why Azealia Should Turn Down:

He has already began the process of “turning down,” but this is more of a court-imposed sentence than an actual change. The MMG member would probably top this list early in the year, as he was facing life in prison after an altercation at the BET Awards drew attention to an outstanding warrant for his arrest.

‘Ye hasn’t caused any harm to others with his infamous egomaniacal rants, even harm to himself as his success and brand continues to sky rocket, but even the staunchest fan of Mr. West would appreciate it if he toned down the on-stage rants.

GUCCI MANE
The violence, the drugs, lashing out at former friends, the tattoos: Gucci needs to relax on all of it. Most recently booked for hitting a solider back from Afghanistan over the head with a champagne bottle, he once kicked a woman out of a moving car. The Brick Squad rapper made headlines for falling asleep during the filming of a sex scene because he was “tired.” He claims he was exhausted from a concert, but odds are it was something else in his system.

LIL' WAYNE
PR-wise it’s been a horrible year for Weezy. His Emmett Till line managed to anger enough fans, and even Till’s family that it cost Wayne some major sponsorships. It’s his health concerns that are signalling Tunechi to calm things down, as he’s been in and out of the hospital several times for “seizure-like” symptoms that he says were caused by exhaustion, but many are rumored to be involved in his excessive partying and intake of lean.

CHIEF KEEF
Still legally a minor, Keef is in dire need of putting on the breaks and turning things down for a bit. At this rate dude won’t see his 21st, or will be behind bars for it. He was even advised by another member of this list, Gucci Mane, to not follow in his footsteps. One of the rawest and most successful young rappers to ever make it, Young Cozart is consistently in trouble with the law, young baby mamas, and even popstars.
Why Chief Keef Should Turn Down:
CHRIS BROWN
When women can accuse you of throwing them visciously to the floor of a club just to get to the bar then you know it’s about time to get “turnt down.” Breezy is prone to outbursts: at clubs, on Twitter, at valets, at recording studios, and unfortunately, on women.
The man has a disposition prone to tantrums, which is compounded by the things he puts in his body – and we don’t mean just Redbull and vodkas.
