In the last couple of years, Popcaan has carved his way to being the world’s premier dancehall artist, and the arrival of his sophomore Forever album this year only further supported the notion.
Now as he gets ready to take his sounds across the Atlantic on a three-date arena tour run in the United Kingdom, Poppy has dropped off the latest set of visuals to come of the Forever track list with a new clip for “Wine For Me.”
Directed by Willo Perron and Imogene Strauss, the new video sets Popcaan in a one-take shot that finds him in a studio backdrop illuminated by stunning visual displays while a host of women dance around the Mixpak artist.
“Mixpak approached us to do this video and being huge Popcaan fans we of course said yes and chose an extremely ambitious concept – a one shot video with projection mapping, camera movements, choreographed dance and a moving set, all without VFX,” Perron explains.
Next up, fans can catch Popcaan headed to London on December 6th before making his way to Manchester on December 7th and closing on December 8th in Birmingham.
