Add Steph Curry to the growing list of athletes who have shown support for LeBron James after President Trump discredited his intelligence. Curry has made his stance against Trump quite clear in the past, but recent events gave the three-time NBA champ another opportunity to call him out.
During a conversation with Don Lemon, LeBron had this to say regarding Trump, "What I've noticed over the past few months, he's kinda used sports to kinda divide us, and that's something that I can't relate to." Shortly thereafter, Trump took to twitter in an attempt to insult the four-time NBA champion, who, just days earlier, opened a public school for underprivileged kids in his hometown of Akron, Ohio.
LeBron has chosen to ignore the nasty remarks, but other star athletes including Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers and Steph Curry have spoken out against Trump.
Of Trump's tweet - "LeBron James was just interviewed by the dumbest man on television, Don Lemon. He made Lebron look smart, which isn’t easy to do. I like Mike! - Curry says, "That rhetoric is all based in some longstanding racism in terms of black men with a voice in power. Unfortunately, that's being revealed more and more as the days go on," according to Logan Murdock of the Mercury News.
