Rae Sremmurd took their breezy SR3MM single "Guatemala" to Jimmy Fallon Wednesday night. The song comes off of Swae Lee's solo side of the project Swaecation, but happens to feature a guest spot from Slim Jxmmi, making it a solid choice for the show. The two performed on a set decorated like the beach, complete with an umbrella, palm trees, fold-out chairs, and of course, Swae Lee's favorite stage prop: pineapples. Their DJ, Jay Sremm also joined them on stage.
Though a backing track was used in the performance, Swae and Jxmmi's voice came through loud and clear, nailing their respective melodies and reminding us that they're one of the best live acts working.
The duo's third studio album SR3MM was released earlier this year. Divided into three parts, the proper Rae Sremmurd album SR3MM, Swae Lee's Swaecation, and Jxmmi's JXMTRO, it explored every dimension of the two brothers' abilities. The Sremms are currently on tour with Wiz Khalifa, and will join Childish Gambino for some dates in the fall.
Last we heard, the two may already be thinking about the follow up to SR3MM, tentatively titled Sremmlife 4. Their "Powerglide" single was certified platinum in May.
