A disgruntled festival goer who was expecting Travis Scott in Montreal, is suing promoters over his absence. Travis was expected to perform from 9:45 p.m. to 10:55 p.m. at the Osheaga Music Festival on Friday, but showed up past 11 p.m, only performing a 40-minute set. Many of the fans who were expecting Travis as a headliner turned away from festival grounds prematurely, having lost any confidence he would appear at all.
Megan Le Stum, the particular fan who is taking matters into her own hands, is suing promoters Evenko, saying she should reimbursed for the 3-day pass she purchased for the event based on Travis Scott's absence alone. According to Megan's class action request, by about 10:30 the crowd had grown impatient and aggressive. What's more, the terrain had become increasingly unsafe, according to the legal documents filed by Le Stum.
"The crowd was euphoric to see the rapper for the last show of the day, however the spectacle didn’t start on time," read her statement. The 2018 edition of Osheaga which also featured Tyler the Creator, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Rae Sremmurd, Post Malone, Khalid and Nav, drew crowds of 45,000 for each of the three days, with tickets ranging from $115 to $235. Three day passes like the one Le Stum purchased, cost anywhere between $320 to $1,150. If approved, it would take several years for the case to jump the queue in the current Quebec legal system.
