Back in October 2017, 2 Chainz was caught up in some legal drama when a member of his security team was charged with assault after punching a videographer who attempted to get a shot of the rapper. While the situation blew over, bodyguard Rory Smith was in court this week for a hearing regarding the case, pleading guilty to the assault and being sentenced to a year of probation.
The assault took place on October 27 when 2 Chainz made an appearance outside of NBC Studios with photographer R.J. Capak attempting to snap a few photos of the rapper. Tity Boi may have retired his Hair Weave Killer alias but his security will take care of all of the killing that the musician needs with Smith stepping in and punching the photog in the face. According to NY Daily News, Smith will face one year of probation and a lesser charge if he is able to stay out of trouble for the next two years. The deal was struck on Monday this week with the victim stating, "I can't work as long as I used to because I have slight dizzy spells. My equilibrium is off now and then. My shoulder hurts. My neck hurts."
According to the publication, there is an order in place preventing Smith from having any contact with Capak in the future.
