Kanye West announces that his father beat prostate cancer.

Earlier this summer, it was revealed that Kanye West's father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. Thankfully, it was revealed that it was in the early stages and he was getting treatment in Los Angeles. While there hasn't been much of an update since then, Kanye West announced today that his father officially beat cancer.

Kanye West took to Twitter to reveal that his father, Ray West, beat cancer. To celebrate, Kanye said that he and his father will indulge on a plate of bugs together.

"overcome fear," Kanye wrote along with a picture of a plate of bugs." My dad and I are going to eat this plate of bugs to celebrate him beating cancer. No more fear."

The initial report that his father was diagnosed with cancer came eleven years after 'Ye's mother passed away from cardiac arrest a day after she underwent cosmetic surgery. Kanye initially planned on using the mug shot of his plastic surgeon that performed the procedures as the album art of his latest opus, Ye.

The good news about Kanye's father beating comes after he revealed that his next studio album, Yandhi was pushed back nearly two months. The rapper was initially supposed to release the album on Saturday to coincide with his controversial SNL appearance where he went on a pro-Trump rant. Unfortunately, the album never dropped and his wife revealed that it would drop on November 23rd.
